THE PROMISE: IF WE FAIL TO LIVE IN ALIGNMENT WITH OUR DECLARED VALUES, WE WILL MAKE MISTAKES

"If the way you live isn’t consistent with what you believe, then it’s wrong." Romans 14:23 MSG

In describing our beliefs, our actions are far better descriptors than our words. Yet, far too many of us spend more energy talking about our beliefs than living by them, with predictably frustrating results. Yes, I am talking about you.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we must be aware: our actions (not our words) should always be evidence of our mindset and the impact that Christ can have in the lives of those that walk with Him. Be a role model for Christ!

Your beliefs shape your values, and your values shape your life. Is your life a clearly crafted picture book of who you are and what you stand for? Are your actions always consistent with your beliefs? Are you willing to practice what you preach? Hopefully so, otherwise, you’ll be stubbing your toe and your heart over and over again as you trip and fall over the inconsistencies between your beliefs and your behaviors.

You know who you are…why are you so afraid to let that person out? Stop speaking the words and start acting the words.

"If I were you, before you even put your feet on the floor in the morning, or certainly within a few minutes after you’re up, open your mouth and say, “Something good is going to happen to me today.” And don’t stop there. Go on and make the enemy really mad and say, “Something good is going to happen through me today.” Something good is going to happen to me and something good is going to happen through me because we are blessed to be a blessing. Don’t stop at just wanting to be blessed. We’re blessed to be a blessing. God told Abraham, “I will bless you and I will make you a blessing causing you to dispense good to others.” - Joyce Meyer

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, it is so much easier to speak of the righteous life than it is to live it. Let me live righteously, Father, and let my actions be consistent with my beliefs. Let every step that I take reflect Your truth, and let me live a life that is worthy of Your Son. Amen.
