THE PROMISE: GOD’S TIMING IS PERFECT
"He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but man cannot discover the work God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11 HCSB
Life here on earth can be difficult and discouraging at times. During our darkest moments, God offers us strength and courage if we turn our hearts and our prayers to Him.
As believing Christians, we have every reason to live courageously. After all, the ultimate battle has already been fought and won on the cross at Calvary. But sometimes, because we are imperfect human beings who possess imperfect faith, we fall prey to fear and doubt. The answer to our fears, of course, is God.
The next time you find your courage tested to the limit, remember that God is as near as your next breath. He is your shield and your strength; He is your protector and your deliverer. Call upon Him in your hour of need and then be comforted. Whatever your challenge, whatever your trouble, God can handle it…and He will!
"When once we are assured that God is good, then there can be nothing to fear." - Hannah Whitall Smith
"You can’t tell God what you want and then tell Him how to do it because it ain’t going to ever be the way you want it to. If where you are at today, if God had shown you what you would have had to go through to get to where you are today, you would turn back. You would go, ‘Oh, no-no-no-no-no. I don’t want that part. I don’t want to do that. I don’t want that part.’ And you would have missed who you are today. Because in order to get to who you are you would have had to go through every single thing you went through. You wouldn’t even know what you know. You hear old people say all the time, ‘You can’t have a testimony without a test." Steve Harvey
Our Prayer: Dear Lord, let me turn to You for courage and for strength. You are with me always, Father, and I will face the challenges of this day with trust and assurance in You. In the name of the cleansing and protecting Blood of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
