Christian Boarding Schools in Provo, Utah May Not Have the Kind of Expert Therapy that Clearview Horizon Offers Girls Who Have Eating Disorders, Depression, Reactive Attachment Disorders, or Who are Practicing Self-Harm
Clearview Horizon is a Christian boarding school specifically designed for teenage girls with life-controlling issues or misbehavior that may be threatening to their future. Our psychotherapists work best with teens who are acting out or making inappropriate decisions due to emotional issues coming from: major trauma or loss in their life, physical or mental abuse, death of a loved one, or attachment disorders related to adoption. We also specialize in eating disorders and self-harm.
If you have a teenage girl in your home displaying misbehavior or is making destructive choices, Clearview Horizon may be a better option to consider than normal Christian boarding schools that do not have psychotherapists on staff. Fact is, many Christian boarding schools claim to solve behavioral issues, but few are prepared to handle deeper emotional issues beyond simple teenage rebellion.
Clearview Horizon is located in a beautiful facility in the mountains near the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. The Clearview campus is intentionally located in a remote area in order for our resident girls to be far away from former influences, issues and similar surroundings. It also discourages teens in our care from considering connecting with peers and departing our facility.
In the Clearview Christian boarding school, girls receive an individual treatment plan aligned with their medical, emotional, and psychological needs. Our expert and seasoned counselors care for over 20 girls in our gorgeous mountainside facility that was once a prestigious corporate hunting lodge. Our multi-disciplinary staff is dedicated to helping each resident start on a new and more productive path in life. The clinical staff also features a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, a dentist, and licensed psychotherapists as well as teachers, mentors and residential care staff.
As a spiritual emphasis, girls are given encouragement and instruction by our Christian boarding school staff and participate in chapel services and Bible studies.
Our Christian Boarding School also Features an Accredited School with Full-Time Teachers that Accommodate Individual Academic Needs, So They Can Return to Home in Provo, UT With a Quality Education
Young women who are having emotional and behavioral problems tend to be showing little progress in school. Our school is intentionally computer-based, assisted by a licensed teacher, so that young women in our care are able to get caught up and even get ahead in their academics while they are at Clearview. We also provide tutoring if needed, and regular academic progress reports are emailed to parents.
Our Therapeutic Christian Boarding School Also Includes Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle (Physically, Emotionally and Spiritually)
Clearview emphasizes a healthy, nutritionally-balanced diet along with physical fitness, restful sleep and fun times; all designed to teach a healthy lifestyle. Girls participate in many recreational and fitness events during the year, as well as organized team sports. Girls in our care also enjoy periodic overnight treks in the beautiful and rugged mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
Helping Girls from Provo, UT and Around the Country, for over 18 years our Christian Boarding School Has Offered Innovative Mileu Therapy
Young women in our care attend individual, group, and family therapy sessions with our staff of skilled professional counselors. Among our professional staff, we also have a Chemical Dependency Counselor for problems related to illicit drug, alcohol or prescription drug abuse, which often accompanies emotional upheaval or when teenagers self-medicate in an attempt to dull their emotional pain. In addition, art therapy gives girls another way to release their emotions. And animal and equine therapy is a part of our therapy, featuring dogs and miniature horses. Finally, through round the clock interactions with our trained staff, the girls receive constant feedback and assistance in their thinking and actions.
