Clearview is a clinical program and boarding school run by skilled and experienced professional Christian counselors who help young women who are struggling with life problems. Clearview is set in the beautiful mountains nearby the year-round resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. Girls attend from every state. Enrollment is year-round and our tuition rates are nearly half the national average for this kind of therapeutic care.
Clearview’s expert psychotherapists care for 30 girls in our gorgeous mountainside facility that was once a prestigious corporate hunting lodge. Our multi-disciplinary clinical team is dedicated to helping each girl heal her emotional hurts and start on a new and more productive path in life. Our personnel includes a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, a dentist, and licensed psychotherapists as well as teachers, mentors and residential care staff.
Clearview is a residential treatment center where girls are led to face their problems and conquer them, while also continuing their education. For the young girls who come to our therapeutic program, we offer: academic instruction, professional therapy, animal-assisted therapy, individual and group therapy, a focus on creativity through art (music and writing), trauma recovery, physical fitness, outdoors adventure therapy, and much more.
We enroll teenage girls with life-controlling issues and related inappropriate behaviors that may be threatening their future. Our clinical teams works best with teenage girls who have emotional issues stemming from: major trauma or loss in their life, abuse, death of a loved one, or attachment disorders related to adoption. Our treatment also includes helping girls with eating disorders.
One of our therapies is equine therapy. The goal of our equine therapy program is to help girls develop needed skills and attributes, such as accountability, responsibility, self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and self-control. Equine therapy also provides an innovative milieu in which the therapist and the patient can identify and address a range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
Clearview Girls Academy is a home-like, structured, yet nurturing and caring therapeutic boarding school for girls who have emotional issues that are leading to poor choices and broken relationships. Our staff specializes in working with adopted girls and girls who have attachment disorders or a history of abuse or a major loss in their life.
We also have a Chemical Dependency Counselor for problems, which often accompanies rebellious behavior or when teens are self-medicating in order to dull their emotional pain. In addition, art therapy gives girls another way to get out difficult emotions without words. Animal therapy with dogs and miniature horses teaches work ethic and communication. Through frequent sessions with our lifestyle mentors, girls receive help with time management and priorities, finding ways to accept and undertake responsibility in a productive manner.

Our rates are lower, but our staff is among the most qualified and experienced in the nation. Our facility is located in a remote area of the Northwest because an important part of the therapy is for girls to get as far away as possible from influences, issues and similar surroundings so that she can put those out of her mind. It also discourages girls from thinking about connecting with friends and leaving our facility.
