Welcome to Rising — Our Life Skills and Leadership Development Program
The trusted next step after Clearview Horizon
The transition for girls from our structured residential program to independent adulthood can feel overwhelming—for both students and their families. To meet the unique needs of girls in our care who are facing the challenges of adulthood, we offer an independent living experience for girls age 18 and up in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. This program is designed to meet the unique needs of young women in our care as they transition into adulthood. Rising provides young women with a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where they can apply the lessons they’ve learned at Clearview while continuing to grow, heal, and gain the practical skills needed for lifelong success.
At Rising, our mission is to bridge the gap between residential care and full independence.
We believe that confidence, self-sufficiency, and leadership are built through real-world experiences—balanced by ongoing guidance, mentorship, and structure. Residents live in a fully supervised, substance-free home setting with 24/7 staff availability, while enjoying the autonomy to work, attend college, manage their daily responsibilities, and cultivate healthy relationships.
Every participant works with our staff to create a customized plan for employment, education, and personal development. Whether pursuing a job in the community, enrolling in college courses at the local North Idaho College satellite campus, or engaging in volunteer work or internships, residents are expected to engage in productive, goal-oriented activity for a minimum of 32 hours per week. This structure builds purpose, accountability, and financial responsibility—cornerstones of a successful adult life.
In addition to life skills training, residents receive support with real-world tasks such as opening bank accounts, budgeting, cooking, maintaining a schedule, getting a driver’s license, resume building, employment experience, secondary education, internships and managing transportation. We also provide training in personal safety, social boundaries, digital literacy, and healthy relationship dynamics. Our staff walk alongside each young woman as she learns to navigate adult life—offering encouragement, redirection, and practical help when needed.
Therapeutic support remains a key element of the Rising experience. Each resident brings a therapeutic referral from her Clearview therapist and transitions into a local support network that may include individual counseling, peer groups, or other services. Emotional regulation, communication planning, and ongoing connection with parents or guardians are also emphasized. We believe that continued healing is best achieved through consistency, personal ownership, and community.
What truly sets Rising apart is our unique combination of structured independence and dynamic opportunity. Residents have access to local fitness and wellness programs through YMCA and yoga memberships, outdoor recreation in the nearby mountains and lakes, and opportunities for service, enrichment, and leadership within the community. These experiences not only develop confidence, but also help students rediscover joy, purpose, and belonging outside of institutional care.
