We contacted Clearview when we had tried everything at home and nothing seemed to be working for our daughter. We realized that despite our best efforts, our home was no longer safe for her. If you are reading this, that may sound familiar. Clearview provided an immediate safe place for our daughter.
While the decision to send her away was very hard, we soon realized that this experience would change our lives forever. The parent program and workshops helped us to discover that we were no longer alone, but had found some people who could truly understand what we were going through. We made lifelong friends. Clearview’s approach brought us as parents into parallel growth with our daughter. We learned how to create safety for our daughter to open up to us, and our daughter learned how express her true feelings and process them in a healthy way. In the time that she was there, she grew so much emotionally and socially. The goal of the program for us was to bring her home to a healthy and safe environment, and that is what we got. She now has a voice of her own, she is going to college, and has healthy relationships with her peers. Our family is growing together, and our relationships have never been stronger.
The world we live in is getting worse every day, and it is more and more accessible to our kids every day. Because of this, there is a need for specific strategies to fight against these destructive intrusions. Because of the things we learned while our daughter was at Clearview Horizon Girls Academy, her vessel was preserved, and we feel prepared to guide our children in these uncertain days.
