Young women with emotional and behavioral problems tend to fail in school. Our academic program is intentionally computer-based, assisted by a certified teacher, so residents can get caught up and even get ahead in their academics while at Clearview. We also provide tutoring when necessary, and regular academic progress reports are provided to parents.

Clearview emphasizes a balanced diet, physical activities, restful sleep, and fun times, all designed to teach a healthy lifestyle. Girls participate in many recreational and fitness events during the year and organize team sports. Girls in our care are also taken on periodic overnight treks in the beautiful and rugged mountains of Western Montana and Idaho. For spiritual support, our Christian staff gives girls encouragement and instruction so and can attend chapel services. Still, we honor other faiths and will not force our faith on any girl or require them to participate in Christian chapel or Bible studies.

Girls in our care attend individual, group, and family therapy sessions with our staff of therapists. Among our professional staff, we also have a Chemical Dependency Counselor for problems which often accompanies rebellious behavior or when teenagers self-medicate to dull their emotional pain. Plus, art therapy gives girls another way to release their emotions. And animal and equine therapy is a part of our therapy, featuring dogs and miniature horses. Finally, through round-the-clock interactions with our trained staff, the girls receive constant feedback and assistance in their thinking and actions.
