Are You Seeking Therapeutic Boarding Schools in Kirkland, WA for a Girl Suffering Emotionally or Physically, or Acting Out Behaviorally Due to Emotional Distress from an Adoption, Abuse, Family Discord, or Other Trauma?
If your teenage girl is displaying unacceptable behavior or is making inappropriate choices, Clearview Horizon may be a good place to start as you research therapeutic boarding schools in Kirkland, WA.
While not in Kirkland, Washington, Clearview Horizon works with girls from your town in a beautiful facility in the mountains nearby the year-round resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. We are intentionally located in a remote area because an important part of therapy is for the girl to be far away from influences, issues and similar surroundings so that she can put those out of her mind. It also discourages our residents from considering connecting with peers and leaving our campus.
To summarize, Clearview Horizon is a therapeutic boarding school for teenage girls with life-controlling issues or misbehavior that may be threatening to their future. Our therapists work best with girls who are acting out or making poor decisions due to emotional stress coming from: major trauma or loss in their life, physical or mental abuse, death of a loved one, or attachment disorders related to adoption. We also specialize in eating disorders and self-harm.
In the Clearview therapeutic boarding school, girls receive an individual treatment plan aligned with their medical, emotional, and psychological needs. Our expert and seasoned psychotherapists care for over 20 girls in our gorgeous mountainside facility that was once a prestigious corporate hunting lodge. Our multi-disciplinary personnel is dedicated to helping each resident start on a new and more productive path in life. The clinical staff includes a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, a dentist, and licensed psychotherapists as well as teachers, mentors and residential care staff.
Clearview Also Features an Accredited School with Full-Time Teachers that Accommodate the Girls’ Academic Needs, So They Can Return to Home in Kirkland, WA With a Quality Education
Girls who are having emotional and behavioral problems tend to be failing in school. Our academic program is intentionally computer-based, assisted by a licensed teacher, so that young women in our care are able to get caught up and even get ahead in their academics while they are at Clearview. We also provide tutoring if needed, and regular academic progress updates are delivered to parents.
Our Therapeutic Boarding School Also Includes Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle (Emotionally, Physically and Spiritually)
Clearview emphasizes a healthy, nutritionally-balanced diet along with physical fitness, restful sleep and fun times; all designed to teach a healthy lifestyle. Girls participate in many outdoor and recreational events during the year, as well as organized team sports. Girls in our care are also taken on periodic overnight treks in the beautiful and rugged mountains of the Pacific Northwest. For spiritual support, girls are given encouragement and instruction by our Christian staff and can attend chapel services, but we also honor other faiths and will not force any faith on any resident or require them to participate in Christian chapel or Bible studies.
