Is Your Girl Rebellious, Promiscuous, Always Angry, Depressed, Anxious, or Secretly Participating in Self-Harm Due to Emotional Distress from PTSD, ADHD, Eating Disorders, Abuse, Family Discord, or Other Trauma in Her Life?
If you have a teenage girl in your home displaying misbehavior or is making destructive choices, Clearview Horizon may be a good place to start as you research therapeutic boarding schools in Knoxville, TN.
While not in Knoxville, Tennessee, Clearview Horizon works with girls from your town in a beautiful facility in the mountains nearby the year-round resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. We are intentionally located in a remote area because an important part of therapy is for the girl to be far away from influences, issues and similar surroundings so that she can put those out of her mind. It also discourages teens in our care from considering connecting with friends and departing our facility.
In a few words, Clearview Horizon is a therapeutic boarding school for teenage girls with life-controlling issues or inappropriate behaviors that may be threatening to their future. Our psychotherapists work best with girls who are acting out or making inappropriate decisions due to emotional problems coming from: major trauma or loss in their life, physical or mental abuse, death of a loved one, or attachment disorders related to adoption. We also specialize in eating disorders and self-harm.
Here at Clearview, girls receive an individual treatment plan aligned with their medical, emotional, and psychological needs. Our expert and seasoned therapists care for over 20 girls in our gorgeous mountainside facility that was once a prestigious corporate hunting lodge. Our multi-disciplinary personnel is dedicated to helping each resident start on a new and more productive path in life. The clinical staff is made up of a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, a dentist, and licensed psychotherapists as well as teachers, mentors and residential care staff.
It Also Features an Accredited School with Full-Time Teachers that Accommodate the Girls’ Academic Needs, So They Can Return to Home in Knoxville, TN With a Quality Education
Teens who are having emotional and behavioral problems tend to be showing little progress in school. Our academic program is intentionally computer-based, assisted by a licensed teacher, so that girls are able to get caught up and even get ahead in their academics while they are at Clearview. We also provide tutoring when necessary, and regular academic progress reports are emailed to parents.
Our Therapeutic Boarding School Also Includes Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle (Emotionally, Physically and Spiritually)
Clearview emphasizes a healthy, nutritionally-balanced diet along with physical fitness, restful sleep and fun times; all designed to teach a healthy lifestyle. Girls participate in many recreational and fitness events during the year, as well as organized team sports. Girls in our care also enjoy regular overnight treks in the beautiful and rugged mountains of the Pacific Northwest. For spiritual support, residents are given encouragement and instruction by our Christian staff and can attend chapel services, but we also honor other faiths and will not force Christianity on any resident or require them to participate in Christian chapel or Bible studies.

Knoxville is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee, and the county seat of Knox County.Geographic reference As of 2010, the city had a population of 178,874 residents, making it the state’s third largest city.U.S. Census Bureau, 2010 Census Interactive Population Search. Retrieved: 20 December 2011.] Knoxville is the principal city of the Knoxville Metropolitan Statistical Area, which in 2000 had a population of 655,400. The KMSA is in turn the central component of the Knoxville-Sevierville-La Follette Combined Statistical Area, which in 2000 had a population of 1,029,155.
First settled in 1786, Knoxville was the first capital of Tennessee. The city struggled with geographic isolation throughout the early 19th century, though the arrival of the railroad in 1855 led to an economic boom. During the Civil War, the city was bitterly divided over the secession issue, and was occupied alternately by both Confederate and Union armies. Following the war, Knoxville grew rapidly as a major wholesaling and manufacturing center. The city’s economy stagnated after the 1920s as the manufacturing sector collapsed, the Downtown area declined, and city leaders became entrenched in highly-partisan political fights. Hosting the 1982 World’s Fair helped reinvigorate the city, and revitalization initiatives by city leaders and private developers have had some success.
Knoxville is the home of the flagship campus of the University of Tennessee, whose sports teams, called the “Volunteers” or “Vols,” are extremely popular in the surrounding area. Knoxville is also home to the headquarters of the Tennessee Valley Authority, as well as the corporate headquarters of several national and regional companies. As one of the largest cities in the Appalachian region, Knoxville has positioned itself in recent years as a repository of Appalachian culture, and is one of the gateways to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
