Psalms 119:105 in the Bible tells us that “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Our mission at Clearview Girls Academy aligns with this statement. Our mission statement reads “to create safe space for healthy growth to light her path.” Ultimately, our primary purpose is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and be a light for all those who are suffering. Our primary purpose is to light the lamp of recovery, so your daughter can see her way out of the darkness.

Here at Clearview Girls Academy, we cannot promise full recovery. Making guarantees would be dishonest, and dishonesty goes against our promise of keeping our center a safe space for everyone. On that note, it is worth taking any treatment facility that guarantees recovery with a grain of salt. Sadly, there is no “one-all” cure for mental illness.

Our Promise at Clearview Girls Academy

What we can promise is that we will go to any length in our power to help your daughter recover her health. We can also confidently say that we have an extremely high rate of recovery at our center. We can guarantee that we have the tools and resources necessary to help your daughter succeed. We are grateful to say we have a very high number of graduates who exemplify that promise.

Our mission is to help your daughter grow into the healthy young woman she deserves to become. Our promise is that we will do all in our power to make that happen. Our greatest joy has been seeing how those two aspects come together to help so many young women along the elevated path of recovery.

The Importance of Balance for Your Daughter’s Recovery

As much as we wish there were a single proven path to recovery, that simply is not the case. There are a wide variety of paths that a person can embark on that produce healing and lasting change. As much as we wish there was a shortened proven path to recovery, that is also sadly not the case. It usually takes time and effort to produce lasting results.

Finding the right path to healing is so important, but it’s not easy. Honestly, choosing recovery is one of the hardest decisions a person or a parent, or a family ever has to make. However, that does not mean the road to recovery must be hard. Yes, there will be rough times, but as 1 Corinthians 16:14 preaches, we “Do everything in love.” We aim to light her path with love so she can avoid as many bumps in the road as possible.

Three Aspects of Care

How do we help smooth the road? We utilize an individualized approach for all of our students that focuses specifically on three different aspects shown to be integral to full healing. Those aspects are therapy and recovery, academic restoration, and behavioral reconciliation.

It is with this balanced approach that we have seen our students recover time and again. This balance can be found in 2 Peter 1:5. This passage states that “For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.” The ultimate goal is recovery and health on all levels. There is no one way there, rather there are many paths that can lead to the same place.

Our mission encompasses each of these aspects to help your daughter get the most balanced recovery possible. In that mission, you will also find our promise.

Why Does Our Mission and Recovery Service Promise Matter?

One of the most important traits a person can have is integrity. Do they do what they say? Are they available when they say they are going to be? Is their word their bond? The answer for Clearview Girls Academy has always been yes.

What people say matters. What people do matters. Therefore, we say what we mean, and we do what we say. Do we have a perfect track record of recovery? No, of course not. But we do have one of the highest efficacy rates of recovery for young women in the country, and we believe that says a lot.

Why Clearview Girls Academy Is the Right Choice for Your Daughter

Our founder Mary Thielbahr once said that “The root of all frustration is the gap between acceptance and expectation.” We understand what you are going through is frustrating, frightening, and feels unforgiving. Please take solace in Dr. Thielbahr’s words. Often the hardest part of life is accepting the reality in front of us and letting go of our past expectations.

Once you move into acceptance, we are here for you and your family all the way. We will use all of our resources to help you all begin to heal. Please let us help you step out of the dark into the light. Let us illuminate your daughter’s life and show her how truly special she is.

Seeking out treatment for a child can be a scary time. It can be filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and instability.
